Overalls + A Striped Tee

overalls + a striped teeA classic spring look is definitely overalls + a striped tee. This ‘lil striped amour tee is one of my favorites because my brother and sister got it for me from France last summer. (See how I first styled it here.) I also just discovered that you can buy the brand Maison Labiche on ASOS! It looks like they started a new addiction for me. Not only are the shirts super cute, but comfortable and classic!

Every day my style evolves and lately I’ve been gravitating more towards basics, with a twist obviously. I had this urge to purge everything in my closet and start fresh (asides some items that I will never let go of like these fitted overalls and GAP leather jacket that I’ve had forever). I’m still in the midst of this process because I have too much stuff, but I’m hoping to finish by this weekend. My virtual closet is looking pretty stylish if you ask me, but it’s time for my lovelies to find new homes. Does anybody else ever get the urge to refresh your closet?! Maybe it’s because I’m tired of seeing my winter wardrobe, but I think the simplicity of my new goal will be a good thing for me!

Below are plenty of options of skinny overalls (because a fitted overall is the key to not looking like you’re twelve) along with basically my new Maison Labiche wardrobe and all the red pointy flats you could ever dream of in your closet! amourmaison labiche denim overalls and pointy red flatsblue and white striped teegap brown leather jacketlong hair

LCD (Little Chambray Dress )

zara puff sleeve denim dressWe’ve all have heard about the classic wardrobe piece, the LBD (little black dress), but I’m going to make the LCD (little chambray dress) a staple wardrobe classic too. This is just the dress form of a Canadian tuxedo, which I have expressed my undying appreciation for many times before.

I just love all the simple details that make this dress more than just an ordinary chambray dress. The style elements: puffy sleeves, zippers on the arms, the frayed hem and the deep V back are all why I fell in love with this dress and why I’ll be wearing it all season. The $30 price tag also is a major bonus for something that I’ll be wearing for a long time. I’ve rounded up some of my favorite chambray dresses below, so click on through. Who else is all in for the LCD?!

This cactus shirt is the closest I got to a desert over spring break last week. All the rain in Chicago put a real damper on my time off, but I tried to make the most of it. I’m hoping we get to see the sun again this week though! I caught up with friends, slept in and drank a lot of coffee, so overall, it was a good break from work. Now that I’m back this week, I’m looking forward to summer vacation in less than two months! Then I’ll definitely have more time to go on that desert vacation and perhaps elsewhere too. I’m definitely going to bring this cactus shirt with me no matter where I go because it’s so cute. Asides from being a really cute shirt, it was only $11! You can’t even get lunch for that price these days. I read the reviews and it said to order two sizes up for shoulder fit and this was spot on.

Hope you all have a lovely week. XO!
