Good Morning!

vital proteins collagen peptidesGood morning! One of my goals for this year was to drink more water. I know you want to know updates on that (haha), but I’ve actually been really good about drinking more. I’ve also been really good about infusing collagen into my diet. Over the summer I went to a Vital Proteins event and since then I’ve been hooked on collagen! I always thought that taking supplements wasn’t good for you, but now I swear by collagen peptides! I’m kind of obsessed with it, actually. I talk about collagen like all the time (sorry guys, now you have to read about it too). I talked about it so much that I now have even converted both my parents to start using it. I’ve even heard them ask each other if they have taken their collagen for the day. They’re so cute.

The easiest way I infuse collagen is by putting a scoop of collagen in my morning coffee. You can’t even taste it, if you’re worried about making the taste of your coffee change. I also can’t wait to go home from work just so I can have my second cup of coffee with another scoop of collagen. It’s the small things that get me through the work day 🙂

You can put collagen into anything like smoothies, water and basically anything else. It’s all natural and there are also many health benefits by taking collagen. Collagen is vital for our bodies and is the basic building block of skin, hair, nails, bones and joints. I swear that my hair has grown so much since I’ve started taking collagen and my skin looks clearer. I also feel happier. I have forgotten to take collagen some mornings and I really feel like I drag on those days. I solved that problem by getting the to go packs and storing some at work. They’re great for travel too.

There are several different types of collagens and forms that I have yet to try, but I hear they are just as great!

Bon Appétit

Bon appĂ©tit! Sometimes I dream about food – yes you read that correctly. I’m not the best at cooking, but I’m really talented when it comes to eating. In fact, I can’t stop thinking about the delicious poutine from Quebec City; okay, and the poutine from Montreal. Try getting through this post without drooling. You’ve been warned. If you need restaurant recommendations, just let me know and I’ll try to remember the names. Note to self, every time I go out to eat make sure to take a picture of the menu to remember the name.

Brunch Bash

baby-gold-coast-girl-10A few weeks ago, a few of my blogger friends, Monica and Jesi, and I hosted a brunch bash for Mommy-to-be Samantha who is having a girl in a few weeks! Since hosting and attending parties runs in my family blood, I knew we needed to start the party planning with a theme. If you read Sam’s blog you know she loves leopard and pink, so that’s where we started. I told my sister, Eleni, that we wanted leopard and pink and she created a custom invite with its own box for the bash. She’s pretty talented like that and grateful she is my sister!

Then Monica and I had some brain storming food and decorations sessions. Monica really is the hostess with the mostest! She always hosts the best holiday parties and her apartment is so cute and it was perfect for the bash. P.S. she also has the best pom pom fluffing skills. Monica and Jesi also made the adorable tulle skirt for the table. Seriously, all my friends are so talented. And how beautiful was Sam’s flower crown that Jesi put together in about five minutes. Let’s also not forget about the cute sign – so good Jesi!

It really does take a village to raise a child, I mean throw a party.. We also enlisted our friend Rachel over at Paris312 for the pretty pink balloons with tassels – a must decoration item for all your parties. Then my mom, Angie, made the floral arrangements pulling in the dark hues from the leopard print of the invite and a variety of pink flowers.

Last but not least, all of Sam’s guests arrived and we had a fun afternoon celebrating Baby Gold Coast Girl. We hope you had a fabulous time Sam and we all can’t wait to meet her! Thank you co-hosts for throwing an awesome bash with me!

P.S. Ladies, make sure to pop your champagne bottle when Sam pops too!
