Chapter 2, Vol 2019

Chapter 2, Vol 2019.

This chapter was a short one, but a good one. I spent a lot of time surrounded by pretty flowers this month from visits to the flower market, to a beautiful wedding and even a visit to the Garfield Park Conservatory. Since we (Limani Designs) had a big wedding in the middle of the month, most of our energy went into the wedding, so that didn’t leave too much time for anything else, except you know, our full time jobs.

Another highlight was going to see Cher with a few of my favorite ladies. Cher is truly a legend and I’m so lucky that I got to see her because she said this was her last tour.

My favorite things that I ate this month were the vegetarian lasagna at Eden and the Lair of the Minotaur burger at Kuma’s Corner’s new location in the West Loop. I highly recommend both.

This month I also became obsessed with a few podcasts: Over My Dead Body, Dear John, The Dropout and Root of Evil. Scary things usually scare me and I hardly see scary movies, but something about these podcasts is so interesting. If you have any podcast recommendations, please let me know in the comments.

And last but not least, bootcamp at work is still going strong. Being physically and mentally fit has been my goal this year and I haven’t given up yet, so that is a huge step for me. I’m consistently drinking at least eight glasses of water a day and I have officially cut out sugar from my coffee. I used to have two coffees a day with two teaspoons each 😱. I knew that was a lot of sugar, but now I don’t even miss it! I’ve also cut down so much on sweets. I couldn’t believe that I was able to do that because sweets were my life. If I had a choice between a meal and dessert, I would totally choose dessert, but now I only save dessert for special days.

I’m hoping March will be warmer and filled with many more flowers and happy moments.

Peggy
