Chapter 3, Vol 2019
March was definitely a month of self-reflecting and shifting my mindset. A key factor in all this was finally seeing the sun. I think I’ve said this before in previous posts, but my mood is definitely affected by the weather. Even though I try not having it affect me, sometimes I just can’t help myself. I instantly felt happier this month. It could also be the effects of the bootcamp at work and knowing that summer is actually right around the corner!
The mirrors above were from a Limani Snow White event we did at the beginning of the month but the mirrors totally represented March for me. If you have time to listen to one podcast this month (I’ve listened to quite a few more this month), listen to The Goop Podcast, How to Become Your Future Self. I HIGHLY recommend it.
Hope you scroll through and see what I was up to all month!
π,
Peggy
I hibernated a lot during January and February, but March was very social for me. I caught up with all my favorite people and had really great conversations about life with people whom I trust. I had to visit The Darling, again, because I really love the ambiance there. I also finally went to Apogee Lounge. They have such creative cocktails there and such gorgeous views of the city.
I also got back into the swing of blog events. I attended the launch party for Dunkin’s new Affogato drink which is espresso over vanilla ice cream which equals heaven!
St. Patrick’s Day this year was so fun, mostly because I have never seen the river get dyed before. It also helped that we were at my friend’s office and watched from above!
On spring break, I had a fabulous spa day at Freeze & Float. The first treatment was an infrared sauna, followed by a cryo-facial and lastly, I floated in a salt pool filled with one thousand pounds of epsom salt for an hour. There are many health benefits to these treatments and I was able to relax, so it was much needed and enjoyed.
It can’t be a monthly round up without more flowers, so this month my mom and my sister and I all went to the Macy’s flower show downtown. I really loved the theme this year, Journey to Paradisios. Everything was just so pretty πΈ.
If you really love flowers and delicious food and fancy cocktails, I suggest you dine at MachineΒ in Wicker Park. It’s a flower shop and restaurant all in one. I think that’s such a cool concept!
And last, but not least, I got to be a model bride π°π» this month for a styled shoot put together by Mindy at Room 1520. It was so fun getting glammed up with hair and makeup. All the ladies behind the scenes at the photoshoot were so talented! I loved working with them all!
