Denver Photo Journal

Denver Photo Journal - 12Well, this is the last of my spring break photo journals ending with Denver. I’m kind of sad that the photo journals have come to an end, but this just means that summer photo journals will soon be here. Not like I’m counting down until the last day of school (May 27th), but it will be nice to live a different pace again with much more ease.

After spending almost a week in Utah with Jill, I then flew to Denver to visit Kristin, my friend since first grade. She moved out there about a year ago with her now fiancé and in just a few short months they will be getting married in Colorado on top of a mountain. How cool, right?! I’m in their wedding party and I can’t wait to celebrate their special day! It was my first time in Denver, but my second time in Colorado. Remember this post?! We visited the Red Rocks Amphitheatre, saw some buffalo and sat on a mountain peak – pretty exciting stuff if you ask me. I said this last time I visited Colorado, but it’s so beautiful there. I guess the theme of spring break turned out to be exploring natural beauty and appreciating the now.

I felt that in both states I felt calmer and less stressed; partially because I didn’t have to work, but also I didn’t feel the need to rush through things and to keep up with the Chicago pace. It’s nice though to shut my eyes a few minutes a day and recall everything I saw and it makes me smile. Until next time, Denver.
