Filiatra, the Paris of Greece!ย The entrance to my dad’s hometown of Filiatra, Messina, has a to scale replica of the Eiffel Tower. The artist, Haralampos Fournarakis, who created the tower also created, The Castle of Fairytales in Agrili, Messinia, where my house is located and a world sphere that’s outside of the junior high school in Filiatra. You wouldn’t think that a small Greek town in the Southern Peloponnese would have so much art, but it does! People who find out about these treasures, travel from all over the world to see them. I don’t blame them. They are unique! It’s tradition that every time we pass through Filiatra and see the Eiffel Tower, we have to say that it’s to scale. It’s the little things in life that bring me joy ๐ Enjoy a few photos from the Tower and make sure to read the next post about The Castle of Fairytales.
