Summer Lovin’

Summer Lovin' - 4I’m lovin’ summer these days. The weather has been so beautiful and I’ve been able to catch up with so many friends. These days I’m taking it easy and enjoying multiple cups of coffee, watching some Netflix marathons and soaking in some sun. If only summer would never go away…

My summer style continues to be easy breezy like this off the shoulder top, that my friend Samantha gave me, denim shorts and gladiator sandals. I’m happy the off the shoulder trend is still going strong because it’s one of my favorites! Also, I’m a big fan of backpacks still because I can fit my necessities for a day of city exploring. I’m trying to find some secret gems around the city like this cute park. Any suggestions of secret gardens or cute coffee shops in Chicago. Just let me know, I have some time on my hands to explore 😉

P.S. Remember to post a photograph of something that makes you smile by July 12th on Instagram or Facebook and use the hashtag #sugarfixsmile to win a teeth whitening service from Sugar Fix Dental Loft. Military Chic

Military Chic - 1I’m happy the weather cooperated this weekend and I got to wear my new fabulous lightweight coat that was seriously made for me and is sooo military chic. First of all, it has the letter P on it and all the patches pretty much sum up my life. Sometimes I think I’m really twelve years old by the things that I find amusing. Who doesn’t want a coat with a dinosaur, flamingo, star, lightning bolt and other random things on it?! Oh yeah, and the not-so-secret lipstick patch on the back 😉 Have a great week!

Teotihuacan - 1As much as I loved exploring Mexico City, I had just as much fun at the Pyramids of Teotihuacan, just about a fifty minute bus ride outside the city. It was quite the interesting ride because there was a one man show singing and playing guitar right behind me almost the entire time. I have to say that it was kind of nice and I didn’t mind it that much.

Anyway, we finally arrived at the pyramids and decided to start exploring and climbing. No wonder the tallest pyramid there is called the Pyramid of the Sun, it practically touches the sun and there was no way to escape the sun and the heat. Thank goodness my brother bought one of those hats above to cool down a bit.  Teotihuacan - 2 Teotihuacan - 3 Teotihuacan - 4
