Coachella Wanna Be

Coachella Wanna Be - 4This is my Coachella wanna be (Chicago style) look. With the festivals coming up the next two weekends, I’m sure we’ll be seeing a lot of creative looks from festival goers and discovering some new tunes. Festival season definitely means that summer is arriving and I’m all about that. I’m not quite sure what my summer plans will be but I know that I want to be free as a bird (hence my pants) and just go where the wind goes… I’m also liking my free spirited approach to life lately. There’s no reason to stress about the little stuff and if something is meant to be, hopefully 😉 it’ll be… Coachella Wanna Be - 6I’ve also taken a bit of a break from arm parties, but that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped partying! My new favorite obsession is layering up dainty necklaces. My favorite necklace of all time is my Peggy necklace, but I do have to say so myself that my hashtag and peace necklace compliment it very well! Birds

birds1I had a very nice relaxing weekend celebrating Greek Easter and hanging out with some friends. It was bittersweet actually because I had to say “see you soon” to one of my best friends (since 1st grade) because she’s moving to Colorado. It wasn’t a goodbye because I will definitely see her again and honestly, I’m not really good at goodbyes. I’ve said too many in my life and it doesn’t get any easier; trust me. I have family all over the place and it’s sad when you have to leave each other. I’m happy for her though and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things she does there. Miss you already chica – love ya!

On another note, at least I can finally hear birds chirping outside again; a sure sign of spring’s arrival. I’ve also transitioned out of wearing only black and white; I know, what a surprise. It’s funny how a little bit of sun and one layer can make you feel oh so happy. I’m also happy because my hair is finally getting longer again to do fun braid styles like this one that Marisol from Goldplaited whipped up. She’s so talented – definitely visit her at the finishing salon in Lincoln Park.

Meet Peggy.

What better way to have celebrated Bastille Day other than visiting the Eiffel Tower yesterday?!  This playful mural was the perfect backdrop for my bird dress (yes, more animals).  It’s something that I would dream about – palm trees and all.  Hope you all had a wonderful weekend 🙂  Read More
