I’m back in Chicago, but my mind and heart are still in Melbourne… It was so hard coming back and leaving my sister and my niece. I’m not sure when I’ll see them again, but I hope it’s sooner than later and not a year and a half like this time. I’ll always treasure the memories we made forever.
These photos are from our trip to the Dandenong National Park 1,000 steps. We had no clue what we were in for, but my mom, Fay and I made it to the top and we felt a sense of accomplishment. We challenged ourselves both mind and body and what a view from the top. We definitely felt the hike for several days, but it was all worth it. More Melbourne posts coming this week. I couldn’t wait to post these pictures any longer. The day at Moonlit Sanctuary was one of the best days of my life! I had so much fun interacting with kangaroos, koalas and wallabies; oh my! I never in a million years thought that I would ever get a chance like that. I’m still in awe of how all the animals just came up to me and were totally cool about eating out of my hand. Actually, I think my parents may have loved the experience more than I did or my little niece at that. They were totally acting like little kids and it was just awesome to see that.
I really liked this sanctuary because all the animals were well kept and had a lot of freedom to roam around. The koala was so soft and cuddly. I even brushed my face against him. The kangaroos were my favorite just because they were everywhere and they kept coming up to me. I loved it! Overall, it was such an amazing and unreal experience. If I had more time to go back again this trip I totally would!

With it being Veteran’s Day today, camouflage never goes out of style and is always trending. It’s a classic look and worn in moderation, really makes a statement. My favorite twist on camo is the sequin jacket and skirt and metallic pumps. How do you camo?
