Skydeck Chicago
I LOVE you Chicago (view from the Skydeck Chicago)! You really are a gorgeous city (and yes, I am being very biased here and except on those days when it’s sooo cold out I can’t feel my face)! Sometimes I take for granted living here because I’ve basically lived here all of my life, but it’s truly a great city and the people are genuinely really nice. I’ve visited the Skydeck several years ago when the Skyboxes were first introduced, during the day. This time I went with my friend Sapna at sunset and the views were just as stunning and maybe more so beautiful than during the day. I highly recommend visiting, even if you live in Chicago. Sometimes it’s nice to see a different perspective (1,353 feet down to be exact).
It’s also an exciting time to be in Chicago because tonight is game 7 of the World Series! I really hope the Cubs win because we’ve all been waiting a long time for this and I can’t wait to see the city celebrate. Although, it’s not a home game and it’s been misty all day, these views of Chicago from the Skydeck level at the Willis Tower are amazing and remind me why I love the city so much. Let’s go Cubbies!!!

Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel
Two weekends ago, I had an amazing staycation with one of my best friends in Rosemont. We had so much fun staying at the Loews Chicago O’Hare Hotel, eating and taking in everything at MB Financial Park and shopping until we dropped at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago. This is going to be a three-part blog post because there is seriously so much to do in Rosemont. It’s also their 60th anniversary, so there are special events happening around town all the time.
Located right by O’Hare airport and a quick ride on 90W from Chicago, the hotel is the perfect spot to get a city feel without the city fuss or if you’re visiting from out of town, the perfect place to stay and visit with Blue Line easy transit. Our room was beautiful and comfortable AND we had an incredible view of the skyline! Loews is very unique, in that, it has its own art gallery and is home to The Ashburn, a fresh gastro-pub inspired by Chicago’s first airport, Ashburn Flying Field. From delicious bites, to modern takes on classic dishes, to the amazing signature cocktails, The Ashburn is a must-eat destination in Rosemont.
Rosemont parts two and three coming soon…
