My winter uniform lately has consisted of a lot of blacks, whites and golds. The classic color combination never goes out of style and is easy to substitute different pieces and still make the look polished and effortless. A crisp white dress shirt is always a good idea and since it’s a bit dangerous to wear heels in the snow, a flat boot is a must. What color combination is your winter uniform?
P.S. What do you think of my hair cut? I’m still getting use to it, but I love it!
Yeah it’s finally Friday! What a week. We had two cold days from school this week after just starting again from winter break. I’m not complaining because it’s been really really cold and I’m still getting over a cold. Quality time with my bed and lots of tea definitely helped the last two days.
On that note, since it’s already the weekend I’m ready for a night out on the town. I don’t really feature a lot of “night” outfits because obviously the best lighting is during the day, but I just had to take photos of one of my favorite winter night outfits. I scored this awesome DVF polka dot mock shirt at Crossroads Trading last month when I hosted an event with some fellow blogger ladies. I could not believe my eyes and price ($30)! Also, can you believe I’ve had this leather skirt since 2001? Crazy. Note to self: invest in more leather.
Here’s to the weekend and staying warm as possible.
A couple of weeks ago, I had the honor of becoming Maria’s Godmother. It was such an important and eventful day for her, her family and me, of course.
In the Greek Orthodox faith, babies are baptized very young and there are many parts to the service. Maria was so good and didn’t even cry when the priest dunked her into the baptismal fountain. She kept smiling and really enjoyed her “bath”. She is the cutest little thing ever! It’s a really big responsibility to be a Godmother and being a part of Maria’s life is amazing. I can’t wait to teach her to Stay Gold and to see her grow up!
P.S. I look serious in some photos, but that’s because I had to focus on speaking Greek and making sure I didn’t mess up anything! Limani will also post photos of the party decor soon…
