Isn’t That Grand

Day two of exploring Nashville began at the cutest coffee shop, Dose, and then D and I went to the Grand Ole Opry and the hotel. Although I’m not really into country music, I’m a bit more rock n’ roll, the Grand Ole Opry was quite a site and standing on stage where lots of musicians have performed felt like I was a part of history. Aside from touring the Opry, we toured the hotel which felt like we were in a whole different world and it was one of the grandest hotels I’ve seen. You could get lost in there for days. Everything you could imagine was in that hotel and the wildlife in there was gorgeous. The Jack Daniel’s burger I also ate there was just divine!

I’ll Fly Away

ill-fly-awayI’m officially on summer break from school, finally! I’m not going to lie, it feels great. Vacation mode did start Memorial Day weekend though with a quick trip with one of my best friends D to Nashville with a pitstop in Louisville. I’ve been to Kentucky before and it’s always a blast there. I really liked exploring the city again even though it was only for a couple of hours to Nashville and back.

Anyway, back to Nashville which was also awesome. We did the touristy thing a bit and it was fun just hanging out with D and catching up. We like to do a girls’ trip every year, but this summer there are going to be more trips. These photos were from the first day. I’m sure D loved taking my outfit photos all around town.

It was also ironic that right by our hotel was a replica of the Parthenon. Being Greek girls, of course, we decided to explore. We only wished we were in Athens, but we’ll fly away to Greece next summer (wink, wink). Doesn’t D look like a Grecian Goddess? I definitely was the paparazzi during the weekend and D was definitely amused.
