Mondo Meatball

mondo-meatball - 6Is it lunch/dinner yet?! Today I’m gushing about Mondo Meatball in the heart of Wicker Park. Located at 1467 N. Milwaukee Ave. this unique restaurant has a funky cafe vibe with a full bar. You can have meatballs in sandwiches, salads, pastas and sides and all of them are delicious. You can either make your own meatball creation (type of style, meatball and sauce) or have a pre-made option and with so many side options it really makes it hard to choose what to eat! I couldn’t decide which meatballs to get, so I opted for the pre-made ones: classic, spicy pork and turkey meatballs. They were sooo good. Samantha had meatballs in a salad and those were just as yummy as well! The wine kept flowing and we did save some room for some Black Dog gelato. If you’re in the area come check out this place. You won’t be disappointed!

Sullivan’s Steakhouse

sullivans - 1 (2)A few weeks ago, I had the most fun tasting everything on the new spring menu at Sullivan’s Steakhouse. We had three different tasting demonstrations. First, it was the wine station. Enough said. Then it was off to learn how to make the new seasonal cocktail, Summer Rose (1 oz. New Amsterdam Gin, .5 oz. Comber Rose Liqueur, .25 oz. triple sec, 1.5 oz. white cranberry juice and 1 lime). Finally, we saw the chefs in the kitchen preparing cheesesteak egg rolls and lots of steak! All the food and presentations were absolutely delicious. My favorite had to be the three different types of steak. I could have eaten the whole platter by myself. You can definitely say that I thoroughly enjoyed myself and definitely dabbled more into food blogging.

In fact, I loved the food sooo much at Sullivan’s that we teamed up for a free appetizer! Enter through the Rafflecopter link at the end of the post. Trust me your stomach will thank you!

Miss Ricky’s

quicky-with-ricky4Last week I had a Quicky with Miss Ricky (‘s) Restaurant that is! My friend Samantha and I went to the preview night and let’s just say everything was heavenly. We ate everything in sight and I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu. We started with the potato skin mac ‘n cheese. I could have stopped right there because it was sooo good, but why?! I had the half roasted chicken with sausage stuffing, broccoli and gravy and Samantha had the beef short rib pie which just melted in your mouth with every bite. I’m getting hungry again as I type this, but seriously everything on the menu sounds so good (especially the chicken and waffles). Asides from the intense drinks, the best part was the death by chocolate cake. It seriously is to die for! The edible knife is filled with caramel and the layers upon layers of chocolate are what dreams of made of. I suggest you stop what you’re doing and go eat there immediately!!

Bon appétit!
