Black & Cream

black-and-creamScrolling through my last outfit posts, it’s evident that black and white are my staple winter colors. I switched it up a bit by wearing black and cream. I know, very different right?! Actually, the cream “top” is a dress. This is a great way to get more wear out of an article of clothing and nobody can really tell the difference, unless obviously you tell them. Another way to get more wear out a dress is to wear a sweater over it. Again, from one dress you have three different looks; a must for a budget-friendly closet.

LBD I

lbdi lbdi lbdi lbdi lbdilbdiWelcome to Little Black Dress (LBD) week! An LBD should be in every woman’s closet. It’s a staple item that can be worn multiple times, different ways  (dressed up or down) and look brand new each time.  The first look out of three LBDs is a lace Free People number. I  love the material so much and how the overlay looks when the wind blows and when the gold sparkles show in the light. I feel very feminine in this look with my heels and simple gold accessories.

This dress and the following dresses can be worn year round with tights and sweaters/cardigans. Check back in all week for the rest of the LBDs and let me know which is your favorite look.

Romper

RomperI can’t believe it’s August already, but here’s another trend to try when the sun is still shining bright ladies. Rompers are really easy to wear because your entire outfit is already pieced together. I call this cheating when dressing just like wearing dresses; I don’t have to think about putting a top and bottom together so this is a perfect trend for those summer day errands and nights out on the town. Both printed and plain rompers are their own statement, so don’t worry too much about accessorizing as well. Keep it simple and comfortable. Check out my favorite rompers under $100.
