It’s a bird, it’s a plane… no it’s culottes. Well, at least I think they’re culottes. I’ve had these long wide shorts for a couple a years (a great Loehmann’s find; may it R.I.P.) and I never really knew how to wear them. I tried several different ways over the years and just decided to hold onto them just in case I could figure out a way to wear them. Well, this is what I came up with and I think I did a pretty good job.
Sometimes things take time to finally click and make sense, just like these culottes. Timing is everything and sometimes things are just meant to be. Originally, I had another post ready to go for today, but I decided this post would make more sense to me because yesterday I had a really good conversation with my sister and her friend. I had just met her friend, but I instantly clicked with her and talking with her inspired me in a great way and gave me encouragement to keep doing what I love doing, blogging of course and being me. I feel like I was supposed to meet her because the way she talked and shared stories, I felt myself in her when I first starting blogging. I know there a lot of great things for her in store and I’m really happy I met her.
I feel like everybody needs an outlet to express themselves whether it’s a blog or having that friend who always listens no matter what or how busy they are or how far they are. Just knowing that other people are going through things makes me feel like I’m not the only one. Surrounding yourself with those who believe in you is really important. I keep on repeating that in many posts because sometimes I forget that myself, but hearing that others really do care and listen is also very important to me. It takes time to find those individuals who can honestly understand you, but when you find them hopefully they’ll want to stick around for a while.
