Snow

portrait in the snowI have a love/hate relationship with snow. I like it when I have nothing to do but just stare out the window while drinking my coffee under a blanket on the couch, but not when I have a million things to do or drive in. It’s definitely pretty and I would like to venture out into winter sports that rely heavily on snow, but that might have to wait until next winter. I know that it’s not winter’s fault, but the sun has been hiding and the gray gloominess is kind of affecting my mood along with what’s happening in our country right now.

As a proud immigrant to the USA, (when I was 4 years old) I find it very disheartening to wake up every morning to bad news that take a toll on us all. I’ve already pledged to protest for everything I believe in (1 down already) and am looking for more ways to make my voice heard. It’s one thing to post articles and retweet, but there needs to be action. My friend told me about the 10 Actions in 100 Days which is the follow up from the Women’s March. I love this because I’m not just going to be sitting back and letting others decide what’s best for me, my family and friends, my students and every person in this world.

If we add up all of our voices, then change is possible. Are there any other organizations that you belong to or help with that I should know about and need extra help? Leave them in a comment below. I will gladly endure more snow if we could just all do our part in correcting all the wrongs that are currently happening.snow in Chicago oxblood bomber jacketMadewell: Handbag // Levi’s: Mile High Super Skinny Jeans // Forever 21: Shirt (option) // Old Navy: Beanie & Gloves (option) //  Theory: Bomber (option) // Dolce Vita: Booties (option) // Belt (option)
