Now that fall is well under way, it sure feels like winter though, I like to layer up my clothes. I also love a good challenge, so when Modcloth approached me to put together a fall layered look, I couldn’t pass it up.
A well layered look is easy to put together. Start with a bottom layer. I chose a denim shirt as my undershirt because denim is classic and easy to layer. Then for the middle layer I added this rose print sweater that is just beautiful and has my favorite colors of the season, burgundy and forest green. Since I’m always cold, the cable knit cardigan adds the final layer of warmth and picks up the colors from the rose sweater.
Worn with denim and boots this is the perfect fall look. When actually going out of work and into the crisp air, accessories are a must along with a statement coat. I love the color of this coat because it makes me cheery. A hat, scarf and handbag are also a key to the look, especially for a stroll through the fallen leaves or apple picking. Now for the final step, who wants to go to the orchard or pumpkin patch with me?!

How can it be Little Black Dress week without a LBD Tuesday weekly trend?! The key to finding that perfect LBD is the fit and price! I’m currently lusting these dresses. They’re just right in their own way and can be accessorized in all sorts of ways. How do you wear your LBD ladies?

I can’t believe it’s August already, but here’s another trend to try when the sun is still shining bright ladies. Rompers are really easy to wear because your entire outfit is already pieced together. I call this cheating when dressing just like wearing dresses; I don’t have to think about putting a top and bottom together so this is a perfect trend for those summer day errands and nights out on the town. Both printed and plain rompers are their own statement, so don’t worry too much about accessorizing as well. Keep it simple and comfortable. Check out my favorite rompers under $100.
