It’s Bean Real

It's Bean Real - 1It’s bean real, weekend and oh how I miss you so already… The good news is that I only have six more Mondays left of the school year! WOW – I can’t believe it. Then everyday will be Saturday and amazing like this past weekend. I finally went to the Van Gogh Bedrooms exhibit and it was amazing. I highly suggest going if you live in Chicago because the exhibit will close on May 10th. After soaking in some art, my cousin and I strolled around Millennium Park for a bit. Even if you live in Chicago, you have to stop by the Bean not just because it’s a city staple, but the people watching is amazing. Funny how a little sunshine really helped out my soul. Here’s hoping to a wonderful week ahead!

XO!

Sightseer Twist

sightseer twist - 1Today I’m playing sightseer with a twist! Living in Chicago and having friends visit all the time, I usually take them to the main attractions (i.e. Sears=Willis Tower, Millennium Park, Michigan Avenue, etc…) first, but what I really like to show my visitors is a part of the city that’s different and unexpected. The neighborhoods of Chicago are so unique that sometimes you forget you’re in the city. “Playing” local tourist and discovering new hidden gems is one of my favorite things to do on the weekends. That being said, I can’t wait to go exploring again this upcoming weekend.   sightseer twist - 8 sightseer twist - 2 sightseer twist - 4sightseer twist - 7 sightseer twist - 5 sightseer twist - 9sightseer twist - 6sightseer twist - 10sightseer twist - 3Loft: Sightseer Twist Jumpsuit // Goyard: Clutch (similar) // Mules: Option // Earrings: Option

Groovy, Baby

groovy-baby01I’m definitely loving the 70s trend right now. Sometimes I think I was born in the wrong decade, based on fashion trends, of course. This is actually my first time wearing high-waisted jeans ever. At first, I was a bit apprehensive, but I think I really like them. It’s also a bonus that they’re flared. This look was so easy to put together and it makes me feel care free. I’m definitely channeling Austin Powers and feeling quite groovy, baby that is. It also helped that the weather this weekend was beautiful to wear an outfit like this quite early in the season. You won’t be seeing flowers in my hair just yet, but you never know… Here’s to a high of 70 today!
