Chique-ago - 1Welcome to the “Chique-ago” mural! If you read a lot of Chicago-based blogs, you probably recognize this mural. Since it’s right by my apartment, I had to get in some photos here as well. It is in a parking lot and the day I happened to go with Samantha, cars were parked there. Can you believe cars park in parking lots?! Anyway, we got in some good shots and we had a fun afternoon hanging out in Chicago. On a side note, how is it Wednesday already?! Happy hump day 🙂

Two

twotwotwotwotwotwotwotwotwotwoTwo. Wow! Today marks my second blogiversary, if you couldn’t tell. I’m definitely in awe of what HAMR has evolved into in just two years and am so happy and appreciative of all the love and support from my readers.

I started HAMR two years ago with a mindset of self-discovery and documenting my evolving style. It was also a creative outlet for both my sister, Eleni and I to share our creativity and to focus our attention away from our day jobs; plus, it gave us an excuse to hang out together since we didn’t live together anymore. Eleni (and my mom Angie, who make up Limani Designs) not only takes my photos, but she’s really my number one supporter and I’d be lost without her.

I can’t even begin to thank everybody else who has supported me and has been here for me. So many great opportunities have happened with HAMR over the last year and I’m still amazed by it all. I’ve also met a great network of bloggers this past year and have formed some great friendships.

If you asked me last year if I expected any of this, I would have said no. I’ve been growing side by side with HAMR these last couple of years and I’m really excited to see what’s next for us.

XOXO,
Peggy

Preppy

Pleats, polka dots and peaks of orange make this preppy dress so dreamy. It’s very hard to resist a Maison Jules dress because the fit and style always fit like they were made just for me. The lightweight material made for a breezy day shopping in SoHo and eating macaroons.

Once you find a brand, cut or length to a dress or any article of clothing, stick with that brand/cut/length. Knowing your body type is better than just wearing something that’s just trendy. A big part of personal style is knowing what fits your body and how you express that. And it’s definitely alright to experiment with different fabrics, prints, lengths, etc..
