If you have a chance to go to The Metropolitan Museum by February 1st, I highly recommend visiting the Death Becomes Her, A Century of Mourning Attire exhibit at the Costume Institute. I went with my brother a few weeks back and had a great time. Although it was a dark exhibit it was really interesting and the gowns were beautiful.
Here are some of our instagrams from the exhibit:
I also attended my first art installation: tears become… streams become at the Park Avenue Armory. That exhibit has finished, but there’s a cool video on the website. Again, it was a bit dark, but I guess our theme for the trip was dark art, but beautiful art.
Spotted. I found the perfect winter dress. Although it has short sleeves, it’s a thicker material. I wore it with this awesome Theory bomber jacket that I found at Crossroads Trading for $45. That place is seriously amazing. Don’t worry I have a couple more pieces from there that were practically given to me coming up. This is definitely my go-to outfit for this season.
On another note, this is one of my last posts with my long hair (eek!) I’m loving my new shorter hair though. Plus, I feel so different, in a good way. Change is good and it’s just hair at the end of the day – it will grow back. I hope you’ll like it too when I post (soon as well).
Happy new year HAMR readers! I’m excited for my first post of 2015! Last week, I went on a bit of an end-of-the-year hiatus to New York. It was a much needed break and a fun way to end the year. Since it was my third time visiting NYC this past year, it was a bit more of a chill trip visiting my brother and some friends.
It might be a while until I go back, just because there are so many places I still want to visit, but New York is always inspiring with its bright lights, big city feel. How did you all ring in the new year?
