Daisy - 2Isn’t this daisy necklace sooo summer?! My ‘lil sis sure knows my style 🙂 She got me this necklace in Spain, so every time I wear it I pretend I’m on vacation there. I know it’s a bit silly, but you have to have fun with fashion and have an imagination! Summer style to me, is effortless like this black shift dress and the most comfy espadrilles. Summer is just the greatest.

To celebrate how great summer is, there are some fun events coming up in the city this week:

  • On Wednesday, July 13th, Big Shoulders Coffee (1105 W. Chicago Ave.) is celebrating their 4th anniversary. In honor of their anniversary, all coffee drinks at the Cafe will be $1 from 6am – 7pm! Share a photo of your coffee drink on Instagram and wish Big Shoulders a Happy Birthday by tagging @BigShouldersCoffee #4YearsBoldBrew and Big Shoulders will select a winning photo to receive 4 months of complimentary drip coffee.
  • On Thursday, July 14th, Sprinkles Cupcakes (50 East Walton Street) is also ready to celebrate summer! At NOON, the first 100 customers will receive a FREE scoop of the Red Velvet handcrafted Sprinkles Ice Cream (sweet cream layered with bites of sprinkles cupcakes iconic red velvet cake and cream cheese frosting). *Also,  the CupcakeATM will be loaded with “golden tickets” for customers to win their choice of 2-pints shipped directly to their home.
  • Also, on Thursday, July 14th, take a trip around the world without leaving the North Shore at Westfield Old Orchard’s Uncorked, from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. The first event of its kind at the center, Uncorked, a Moroccan-inspired Midsummer’s soiree, will be hosted at The Cube and Cube Park and will benefit the Niles Township Food Pantry. Bringing the best of summer to the North Shore, this colorful evening will include choice wine samples, light bites, whimsical entertainment, shopping, and more! Revel in exclusive promotions and giveaways while enjoying an unforgettable night in conjunction with Westfield Old Orchard’s premier retailers.

Summer Lovin’

Summer Lovin' - 4I’m lovin’ summer these days. The weather has been so beautiful and I’ve been able to catch up with so many friends. These days I’m taking it easy and enjoying multiple cups of coffee, watching some Netflix marathons and soaking in some sun. If only summer would never go away…

My summer style continues to be easy breezy like this off the shoulder top, that my friend Samantha gave me, denim shorts and gladiator sandals. I’m happy the off the shoulder trend is still going strong because it’s one of my favorites! Also, I’m a big fan of backpacks still because I can fit my necessities for a day of city exploring. I’m trying to find some secret gems around the city like this cute park. Any suggestions of secret gardens or cute coffee shops in Chicago. Just let me know, I have some time on my hands to explore 😉

I’m really liking structured handbags for fall. There’s just something about them that makes me feel organized and chic all at the same time.
