red wrap dress as a topDoes this dress top look familiar?! A few weeks ago, I wore it as a dress and I had thought of wearing it as a top and here it is! Wearing a dress like this as a top is great because you get another wear out of it. I opened up the slit as much as I could so that it could flow and not be too tight over the jeans. By switching up the accessories and shoes, it gave the dress a whole different look. What do you think of the styling? Now that I’ve thought of two ways to wear this dress, I’m almost tempted to think of another way..

Red Wrap Dress

This Adriana red wrap dress from Tobi is an instant confidence boost! The minute I wore it, I knew I had to rock it. It might be one of the “sexiest” dresses I own, but I felt like a whole different person when I wore it. My smile got bigger and my posture got better. Maybe it’s because I hardly ever wear red that it gave me some sort of alter ego. Who knows?! All I know is that it could be the perfect dress for date night (all I need is a date)!

The draping and twisted front give the dress a casual feel, but the high slit give it an edgy feel. For a more casual look I think this dress will look awesome paired with dark skinny jeans. Then the dress will turn into an awesome long top. When I try it out, I’ll post it and let me know which way you like better.

Zip It

zip-it-1This Tobi zip (it) dress is the perfect amount of edge and comfort. It’s also on super sale for $35 (it comes in gray too)! I can already foresee myself wearing this dress every weekend this fall. It’s fleeced lined too for those chillier fall days. I’m not quite ready for tights either, but I guess soon enough it will be necessary. The zippers on the elbows were what really drew me to this dress because I’ve never seen that before and the dress looked super comfy (which it is)!!

I also can’t believe that it’s already October. How did that happen already?! I also can’t believe that HAMR turned 4 years old a couple of days ago. Where did the time go?! I have to admit, I still have so much fun blogging and writing. HAMR really makes me happy even when other things in life aren’t going as planned. I’ve learned that blogging is what you make of it and I’ve made HAMR into something I never imagined I could create. I’m still learning lots about blogging after all these years, but that’s okay because I love being a student of the blog world, really. Thank you all so much for reading HAMR and for all your support. HAMR really is my baby and I love seeing her grow up.
