Happy Monday everybody and what a way to start off the week by announcing an event I will be co-hosting at Mad Style (1754 W. Division) with Samantha of Gold Coast Girl and Rachel of RD’s Obsessions.

We will be showcasing the latest must-have trends and (Mad) styling all night long. Mad Style is a really cute boutique with unique pieces for both women and men. You really don’t want to miss this event, especially with all the in-store discounts, giveaways and giftbags.

petalumapetalumapetalumaIt was truly love at first site when I saw this Petaluma skirt at Anthropologie! I can go on and on about the fit, the texture, the length and how I feel in it, but I can just sum it up with one word – perfect. It’s everything I ever wanted in a midi skirt! Get ready to see a lot of it because there are so many ways I want to style it.

I wanted the skirt to be the focal point, so I kept the top, shoes and bag all basic gray. Paired with my go-to gray T-shirt that I’ve worn a million times (ok maybe half a million times) and playful accessories, I couldn’t help but smile all day when I wore this last week. It’s really funny that an article of clothing can brighten my mood at just the right time, but I’m glad that it worked magic on me. Have a wonderful week lovelies! Look at that, I’m still in a good mood! Seriously ladies get this skirt!

Romper

RomperI can’t believe it’s August already, but here’s another trend to try when the sun is still shining bright ladies. Rompers are really easy to wear because your entire outfit is already pieced together. I call this cheating when dressing just like wearing dresses; I don’t have to think about putting a top and bottom together so this is a perfect trend for those summer day errands and nights out on the town. Both printed and plain rompers are their own statement, so don’t worry too much about accessorizing as well. Keep it simple and comfortable. Check out my favorite rompers under $100.
