thirty-four

Thirty-Four.  Wow. When did I become 34?! I’m happy that 33 is done with because it was quite the year. I’ve learned so much this past year about myself that I’m looking forward to a fresh beginning starting today! All my lessons come down to this: be true to yourself and know that challenges are meant to make you stronger. I thought I had everything figured out in life in my twenties and boy or boy was I wrong about a lot of stuff. It’s also hard to compare yourself to others, but knowing that my life isn’t on a scheduled path and the same as everybody’s else’s path is okay with me. Now that I’m well into my thirties, I know how to let go of things easier and to go with the flow as much as possible. There is no need to put energy into things or people that wouldn’t do the same for you. It’s taken me a really long time to acknowledge that and I am grateful that I finally realized this. Better late than never; right? Having an amazing support system also makes life a little easier and I am grateful for those who love me and support me everyday of my life; both real and blog life.

Cheers to this year’s new adventures! Bring it 34.
