I’m layering up with some bright tweed and stripes to pretend that it’s a lot warmer than it actually is. Last weekend my sister, Eleni, and brother in law, Peter, decided to get in the VW and just drive somewhere warmer than Chicago. Little did we expect that even the South had a cold front and snow. Anyway, that didn’t stop us from escaping Illinois for a little bit. We ended up having an awesome weekend in Indiana, Kentucky and Tennessee. The trip was so fun because we just hung out and drank coffee at cute shops all weekend long. I did get really sick on the way home, I’ll spare you the details, and whatever I had/have is still lingering. I know it’s sick season, but I feel like I’ve been sick for the last two months 🙁

Back to the fun weekend… It wouldn’t be a vacation without some shopping, so my sister treated me to something cute from Draper James (now it’s on major markdown and I can’t wait to style it). I also tried some sweet tea and it was so tasty. This little mini weekend getaway was just what we all needed. Winter has been really harsh and it’s good to see new places and be with your favorite people. We already have started talking about our next adventure. I don’t know when it will be, but I already know that we will have so much fun.
