Black Band Jacket

Thank goodness it’s Friday! Is it me, or do the weeks feel longer and longer lately? Maybe it’s because Chicago can’t decide if it wants it to be winter still or ease into spring. I just feel like we’ve had winter for a million months and I’m ready to move on. Sorry winter, but I’m breaking up with you!

Since I’m also tired of wearing my puffy winter coat, I’m wearing my black band jacket as my transitional outerwear. I much prefer to wear fitted jackets than cocoon myself with obscene amounts of layers. Anyway, I know I choose to live here and the cold comes with the territory, but I’m allowed to complain; at least that’s what I’m going to keep telling myself. At least I can still get away with wearing gold booties and a velvet bralette (under the lace top).

Well, I’m glad it’s the weekend and I can’t wait to catch up on sleep and coffee. And in other good news, spring break is coming up in two weeks; not that I’m going anywhere, but the time off is much needed. Have a lovely weekend everybody.

XOXO,

Peggy
