Chiberia, where it’s colder than parts of Antartica and Siberia ๐. I hope everybody is staying warm and inside in the Chicagoland area. How can it be this cold?? It’s so cold that we don’t have school today and tomorrow. I can’t even imagine the little kiddos waiting outside for the bus, so I’m glad safety comes first. On Monday, we had another snow day, so this entire week has been wacky. These are the days that I wonder why I live here, but then I force myself to remember that warm days are ahead and that there are positives and negatives with all the seasons. Like these photos from a crisp fall day. Oh, what I wish to be taken back to this day where I thought it was “cold”, but I was still wearing open toe shoes and a light jacket ๐. It’s all about perspective, I guess. Anyway, this black blazer and these high waisted trousers have been my saving grace work clothes the last few months and such great basics in my closet for days where I just need to pick something out quickly and I know will work with just about anything. I’ve linked a few similar pieces below. Also, this top is a tube top that I wore in the summer, but layered it with the blazer. Just trying to bring a little bit of warmth into cold weather!
The rest of today’s agenda will be spent at browsing at all the pretty spring pieces (obsessed with everything Kate Spade & Coach ๐), drinking another latte, organizing a few things in my closet, and starting a new book. How is everybody spending their cold day?
