Last Thursday, I attended the second annual playCHIC fashion show that coincided with the Chicago Toy & Game Fair at the River East Art Center. The show featured inspired game dresses by five Chicago designers. My favorite was the Bananagrams dress. I went with my blogger friend Jill and saw our other favorite teacher blogger, April who introduced us to the amazing designers of Accessory Mercado, Angie and Sarah. What can I say, we bonded over teaching reading (Angie is also a reading teacher) and our “kids” (my school kids and their actual kids) and a friendly game of Bananagrams. It was such a nice night catching up with these lovely ladies and I’m looking forward to our next event. P.S. This is the dress I was talking about last week – the obsession continues..
