Nordstrom Rack Grand Opening @ Fashion Outlets of Chicago
The new Nordstrom Rack store at the Fashion Outlets of Chicago has officially opened! I had so much fun at the opening event and you seriously can’t beat the amazing finds and deals. The addition of Nordstrom Rack, makes the Fashion Outlets of Chicago one of the only two outlet shopping centers in the United States with every outlet anchor store located onsite. How cool is that?! I may be biased because Nordstrom Rack is seriously my favorite store, but I highly recommend checking out this location.

Disturbia: Screams in the Park
Halloween is quickly approaching and if you love a good scream, make sure to experience Disturbia: Screams in the Park. It’s in the basement of MB Financial Park, so it’s already creepy that you have to go to an empty parking garage. Disturbia features 20,000 square feet of terror with more than 35 rooms. Make sure you stretch before you go because you’ll need to run away from some creatures! Disturbia is now open and will close the weekend of November 4th and 5th with complete darkness. General admission tickets are $25 per person Sundays through Thursdays and $30 per person Fridays and Saturdays. VIP tickets, which allow ticketholders quicker access and less wait time for the haunt, are also available for $40 per person. Discounted tickets are available for groups of 10 or more at www.grouptix.net. Visitors are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance at www.disturbiascreams.com. Tickets can also be purchased on-site.

“THE COLLECTION”
Where Art Meets Fashion
And last, but not least, “THE COLLECTION” at Fashion Outlets of Chicago is launching the first week of November with the unveiling of a newly commissioned work by Carlos Rolón/Dzine. A Chicago artist and 2016 recipient of the Joan Mitchell Award for Painting and Sculpture, Rolón has been recognized for his elaborately crafted paintings, ornate sculptures and works that come out of American, Latino and uniquely based subcultures. His newest work will be located in front of Bloomingdale’s The Outlet Store and Tory Burch on level two of the shopping center. In addition, the first of “THE COLLECTION’s” rotating mobile exhibitions, changing three times a year, will also be revealed. Curated by Director and Founder of Johalla Projects Anna Cerniglia, the exhibition—on view through February—will feature the work of Aimée Beaubien, Kate McQuillen and Jeroen Nelemans.
The Rolón commission joins the work of eight artists currently included in Fashion Outlets of Chicago’s contemporary art collection. Artists include Daniel Arsham, Bhakti Baxter, Jim Drain, Cody Hudson, Alvaro Ilizarbe, Kenton Parker, Bert Rodriguez and Jen Stark. The artwork, both painted murals and hanging installations, can be found throughout the shopping center’s common areas and will continue to be on display for patrons to enjoy. Can’t wait to check out the new art installations!
