Short Skirt Long Jacket - 2Is this what the band Cake was referring to when they said they wanted a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket?! 🙂 I’m in love with this vest my friends Esther and Brian got me for Christmas. It’s just what I was looking for – perfect for layering now in the deep freeze over Chicago.

It also still feels like Christmas because Anjolee sure know how to spoil a girl. They have the best sparkly jewelry at great prices. My favorites are the diamond hoop earrings, but I’m in love with these studs. Don’t worry, I’ll be featuring/wearing them from now until forever.

Summer Bliss

Summer-BlissI don’t want summer to ever end. I’m definitely in a summer bliss mode trying to ignore the fact that it’s already August. I swear summer is going by really fast and I just want it to slooowww down just a bit. One of my favorite summer activities is to go to Red June, my local coffee shop, for an iced chai tea latte (my favorite) and walk around the ‘hood.

Nothing says summer bliss more than a white dress and sneakers and because it’s so hot, I try to keep my jewelry to a minimum. I recently discovered Anjolee, a website that specializes in customizing jewelry. They have such pretty pieces, it’s hard not to get lost on the website for hours. I’m loving my customized bracelet with my birthstone, citrine. It’s such a fun color for summer and I like how the bracelet is thin and can be stacked.
