What adult doesn’t want to text Santa their wish list? I can’t believe Christmas is just two days away! I hope everybody has completed their shopping lists and is ready to spend some quality time with friends and family – I know I am. I guess Santa did respond to my text after all because it is just gorgeous in Chicago. A little snow wouldn’t hurt, but I’m not complaining. Have a Merry Christmas!
Today is the last official day of summer. Let’s try not being too sad about it and hope that it will be summer again real soon. I can’t even begin to describe how much fun I had this summer. My highlight, of course, was going to Melbourne for a month. I had such an amazing time and I can’t wait to go back. Too bad it’s a bloody long way to get there because I wouldn’t mind being there right now where it’s officially spring. I actually can’t believe that summer is ending already. It went by too quickly. Then again, doesn’t time go by faster when you’re having fun?! I know we will meet again, summer and until then farewell as I welcome in fall…

I took a photo trip to Sydney while I was staying in Melbourne. It was one of the most fun trip/thing I have ever done and I did it all by myself. It was actually quite a feat for me because I have never traveled solo like this before. Usually, I fly somewhere by myself and meet up with friends/family, but I can officially check this off my bucket list! The hour and a half flight was a breeze and I couldn’t wait to explore the city with my camera. If you only have a few hours in Sydney here are my top three must see spots: The Sydney Opera House (bonus if you see a show), the Museum of Contemporary Art (right on the boardwalk) and my favorite Bondi Beach (where surfers just walk around everywhere even in winter!). I couldn’t have asked for a better day and experience. The best part is I can’t wait to go again and explore some more even though Melbourne will always be number one in Australia!
That’s all the blogging from down under. I can’t believe I was there for a month. I loved spending time with my family and exploring. I’ll always treasure all the memories we made and the 3,000+ photos we took. I really like taking photos what can I say. Now where to next? To be continued…
