Fall Layering With Modcloth

fall-layering-with-modclothNow that fall is well under way, it sure feels like winter though, I like to layer up my clothes. I also love a good challenge, so when Modcloth approached me to put together a fall layered look, I couldn’t pass it up.

A well layered look is easy to put together. Start with a bottom layer. I chose a denim shirt as my undershirt because denim is classic and easy to layer. Then for the middle layer I added this rose print sweater that is just beautiful and has my favorite colors of the season, burgundy and forest green. Since I’m always cold, the cable knit cardigan adds the final layer of warmth and picks up the colors from the rose sweater.

Worn with denim and boots this is the perfect fall look. When actually going out of work and into the crisp air, accessories are a must along with a statement coat. I love the color of this coat because it makes me cheery. A hat, scarf and handbag are also a key to the look, especially for a stroll through the fallen leaves or apple picking. Now for the final step, who wants to go to the orchard or pumpkin patch with me?!

1. Denim Shirt / 2. Sweater / 3. Cardigan / 4. Coat / 5. Hat / 6. Handbag / 7. Scarf / 8. Jeans / 9. Boots

Join me next Sunday at Gap (3416 N. Southport, Chicago) as I’ll be styling children 12 and under in the newest fall Gap line and then photographing them to win a chance to be featured on gapkidsclass.com and store windows.

Even if you don’t have children, or can’t borrow any, stop by for a bite to eat and to visit me. And if you’re nice, I’ll take your photo too!
