Cactus

This cactus shirt is the closest I got to a desert over spring break last week. All the rain in Chicago put a real damper on my time off, but I tried to make the most of it. I’m hoping we get to see the sun again this week though! I caught up with friends, slept in and drank a lot of coffee, so overall, it was a good break from work. Now that I’m back this week, I’m looking forward to summer vacation in less than two months! Then I’ll definitely have more time to go on that desert vacation and perhaps elsewhere too. I’m definitely going to bring this cactus shirt with me no matter where I go because it’s so cute. Asides from being a really cute shirt, it was only $11! You can’t even get lunch for that price these days. I read the reviews and it said to order two sizes up for shoulder fit and this was spot on.

Hope you all have a lovely week. XO!

Unconfined

standard October 26, 2016 Leave a response

striped wall in chicagoI consider myself to be unconfined in all aspects of my life. I like to be different and do my own thing. My blog and all my social media truly reflect my life. I’m having fun living the life I chose and trying to make the best out of every day even when I think things are going bad, I smile and think how lucky I am; this I wouldn’t change for anything. Of course I keep things private, but that’s just because I’m sure you don’t want to know everything about me – haha.

It’s good to have your own identity because sometimes in the blog world you forget the bigger picture and what is truly important. I have found that the excess noise is something that I don’t pay attention to and all it is is noise. The vast reality is being myself and doing what I want is very important to me. My voice is often silenced because of my profession, but trust me when I say I break through barriers and fight for great causes and for the well being of all behind the scenes. being unconfinedsmiling in a polka dot sheer shirtlooking to the sidewalking in chicagopurple bow handbag with chainlaughing and looking to the sidesmiling and looking to the sidesmirking in chicagobriskly struttingGap: Jacket (option)  // Gap Body: Bra (option) // Madden: Booties (option) // DVF: Shirt (option) // Loft: Sunglasses // DeJour (Australian): Jeans (option) // Zara (old): Handbag: (option) // DKNY (old): Belt

Luna Park

standard July 5, 2015 Leave a response

luna-park - 4I celebrated 4th of July at the Luna Park in St. Kilda! I hope everybody Stateside had a wonderful holiday. It was such a beautiful sunny day in Melbourne and I’m still in awe that it’s winter. (Sorry if I say that in every post!) The Luna Park is right by the pier where penguins live. Apparently they come out late at night, so I might need to look out for them another night.

I’m wearing these awesome tailor fitted, made in Australia high waisted jeans. Say that three times fast. My sister took me to this little shop in Brunswick (sort of like Wicker Park/Bucktown) and we both got our dream jeans for just fifty Australian dollars which is like forty bucks. I couldn’t believe the price tag which included alterations. I might have to come back every year just to get jeans (wink wink)!
