Brooklyn Burgundy & Black

Brooklyn Burgundy - 1This past holiday weekend, I went to New York with my sister to visit our brother and to do a little networking for Limani Designs. I had the best time hanging out in Brooklyn and being a little bit touristy in Manhattan, but not too much. The best part of going to New York is that I’ve already done a lot of tourist attractions, so now it’s even more fun exploring the neighborhoods and not dealing with the massive amount of crowds everywhere. I definitely blended in Brooklyn with my weekend color scheme of black and burgundy. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful weekend and stay tuned for more photos.Brooklyn Burgundy - 2 Brooklyn Burgundy - 3Brooklyn Burgundy - 5 Brooklyn Burgundy - 4

Back to School

back to school - 1Wow, this is the fourth week of school already and I’m just beginning to finally adjust to being back. Although the ninety degree weather is making me think otherwise, school definitely is back in session. Between prepping lessons for sixth and eighth grades this year and coaching, it feels like summer never even happened! I really like my students, so all the hard work is definitely worth it!

This is one of my favorite “teacher” looks – especially because of these awesome red pointy ballerina flats and the high-rise midi polka dot skirt. The color combination also reminds me of the 1950s style which is definitely timeless. AND because I like to make my outfit speak for itself, the bowtie adds a fun element, don’t you think?! Anybody else going back to school or already has? Let’s all make this school calendar year amazing!back to school - 2back to school - 6back to school - 7 back to school - 3 back to school - 5 back to school - 8back to school - 4Hermès: Bowtie (1, 2, 3) // Gap: Flats & Chambray (option) // Limited: Skirt (option, lusting) // Kelsi Dagger: Backpack  // Firmoo c/o: Eyewear (option)

Mörk

mork-inside - 3One thing that I really loved about Melbourne, aside from family and street art, was that almost all the cute little shops and restaurants were hidden. You really have to know the area or have somebody tell you what the facade of the place looks like. I actually ate and drank my way through discovering Melbourne and Mörk helped me. This was the cutest hot chocolate shop and it hit the spot for a chilly day.

P.S. Notice the cars parked on the different side of the road.mork - 1mork - 2mork - 4mork - 5mork - 3mork-inside - 4mork-inside - 1Old Navy: Dress (option) & Shoes // Gap: Vest // Hue: Tights // Kelsi Dagger: Backpack (option) // Catbird: Ring
