gap leather skirt and madewell side tie cropped shirtIt’s back to wearing leather skirts and tights… Chicago, please make up your mind on who you truly want to be. No more of this back and forth cold to hot all within a day. Anyway, at least I like my leather skirt that I’ve had for almost ten years! The thing about this skirt is that it still looks new and in season. It’s good to invest in a piece like this because as you can see for yourself, it’s timeless. I’m also happy that I can still fit in it – makes me feel young 😉 Are there any pieces in your closet that are timeless? Plum Peplum

plum peplum peggy kolliasDo you ever go window shopping with no intention of buying something just to browse for inspiration and then stumble upon a magical dress for the right price? Well, that’s just what happened with this plum peplum dress which was from Eva Longoria’s Limited collection. It was only $30 because the store was closing, so it’s unfortunate that it closed, but I’m lucky that I found it 🙂 It really is a magical dress because once I’m zipped up, it hugs everything in the right place and the perfect amount. I never wear body forming dresses, but I decided to take a fashion risk with this one and it worked in my favor.

For a brief moment, it was safe to wear this dress with no tights, but it’s back to wearing tights. And since it’s since technically winter, I wore a moto leather jacket to make the dress a bit more funky. I really like the side asymmetrical peplum of this dress because usually peplum goes all around the waist and this one is different, which I like. I also can’t stop wearing these ZARA heels. For their height, they’re actually quite comfortable and basically match my entire winter wardrobe.

On another note, I have a fun girls’ night dinner planned tonight (maybe I’ll wear this ‘lil number again) and I can’t wait! It’s basically the only thing getting me through this dreary rainy day…

DVF Dots

dvf-dotsYeah it’s finally Friday! What a week. We had two cold days from school this week after just starting again from winter break. I’m not complaining because it’s been really really cold and I’m still getting over a cold. Quality time with my bed and lots of tea definitely helped the last two days.

On that note, since it’s already the weekend I’m ready for a night out on the town. I don’t really feature a lot of “night” outfits because obviously the best lighting is during the day, but I just had to take photos of one of my favorite winter night outfits. I scored this awesome DVF polka dot mock shirt at Crossroads Trading last month when I hosted an event with some fellow blogger ladies. I could not believe my eyes and price ($30)! Also, can you believe I’ve had this leather skirt since 2001? Crazy. Note to self: invest in more leather.

Here’s to the weekend and staying warm as possible.
