Short Skirt Long Jacket

Short Skirt Long Jacket - 2Is this what the band Cake was referring to when they said they wanted a girl with a short skirt and a long jacket?! ūüôā I’m in love with this vest my friends Esther and Brian got me for Christmas. It’s just what I was looking for – perfect for layering now in the deep freeze over Chicago.

It also still feels like Christmas because Anjolee sure know how to spoil a girl. They have the best sparkly jewelry at great prices. My favorites are the diamond hoop earrings, but I’m in love¬†with these studs. Don’t worry, I’ll be featuring/wearing them from now until forever.

Hope everybody is staying warm.

Fringed

fringed - 1Although fall just started, one of my favorite trends of the season is fringe. This fringe skirt is what all my fringe dreams are made of. It’s so fun AND flirty AND comfortable. What I also really love about this skirt is that I can dress it up for a night out in the city or make it more casual with a tee and sneakers (photos coming soon because I’m going to be living in this skirt for the next couple of months). How will you get fringed this season?!

Mod

mod05Back to the life, back to reality… It’s Monday and spring break is officially over… Sad panda. It’s okay though because this just means summer break is getting closer by the second. The break was really nice because I definitely relaxed and drank a lot of coffee. A lot of coffee. Aside from hanging out with friends, I also pampered myself this week.

This might sound weird, but one of my favorite things is when people play with my hair or style it. So it was perfect when I went to Civello’s Young Talent Salon¬†and got the best hair and scalp head therapy session ever. Honestly, I may have dozed off a bit, but I couldn’t help it, it felt sooo good and the oils smelled wonderful. The hair fun continued when Taylor, my stylist, gave my hair a mod blowout. She made my hair so soft and somehow seem longer!

In honor of Earth Day and clean water and products, the Young Talent Salon is having $15 blowouts on April 13th from 4-8PM and if you are unable to attend this event, the regular $20 blowout is still a steal along with hair cuts at $25 and color at $40+.
