Slouchy Tunic

Walking to yogaThese freezing temperatures won’t keep me from working out, thanks to my new favorite slouchy tunic. I love how versatile this top is from Shop The Mint and with a price tag of only $24 – you need them all! I can wear this top to barre/pilates/yoga class (my class combines all of them) and then wear as athleisure wear or even on weekends running errands. I’ll definitely post other ways to wear this top (and perhaps in another color soon) because I want to get the most wear out of it and a classic baseball tee (with a fun pocket) is always a good staple piece to have in your closet 🙂

birds1I had a very nice relaxing weekend celebrating Greek Easter and hanging out with some friends. It was bittersweet actually because I had to say “see you soon” to one of my best friends (since 1st grade) because she’s moving to Colorado. It wasn’t a goodbye because I will definitely see her again and honestly, I’m not really good at goodbyes. I’ve said too many in my life and it doesn’t get any easier; trust me. I have family all over the place and it’s sad when you have to leave each other. I’m happy for her though and can’t wait to see all the wonderful things she does there. Miss you already chica – love ya!

On another note, at least I can finally hear birds chirping outside again; a sure sign of spring’s arrival. I’ve also transitioned out of wearing only black and white; I know, what a surprise. It’s funny how a little bit of sun and one layer can make you feel oh so happy. I’m also happy because my hair is finally getting longer again to do fun braid styles like this one that Marisol from Goldplaited whipped up. She’s so talented – definitely visit her at the finishing salon in Lincoln Park.

I’m so excited for spring to arrive that I took my own advice from yesterday’s Trend Report post and let my toes free from thermal sock hostage! Aren’t these the cutest Peek-A-Boo shoes ever from The Mint Julep Boutique?! The color and fit are perfect for this transition weather we’re having in Chicago. I’m ready to start wearing them in heavy rotation, so I hope you all don’t mind.

As a bonus, The Mint Julep Boutique and I have teamed up for a $25 gift card giveaway for one lucky HAMR reader. I can’t wait to see what you pick out from the shop! Good luck!
